The win of MO’S CROWN at Rosehill on Saturday boosted the pedigree of a bargain priced yearling Proven Thoroughbreds picked up at the Magic Millions March QTIS Sale.
MO’S CROWN captured his fourth career win and first in Saturday metropolitan company when leading throughout over 1200m (see replay below).
Having chased home the likes of BIVOUAC, DAWN PASSAGE, MASKED CRUSADER and VILLAMI earlier in his career, Saturday’s win was certainly a deserved one.
The FURNACES x BOVESPA yearling filly Proven acquired for just $20k in March is out of a half-sister to AMBER’S CROWN, dam of MO’S CROWN’s and stakes placed mare RIVER BIRD.
BOVESPA herself has a perfect strike rate of four winners from as many foals, so clearly this is one filly from a family on the up!
And for just $840.9 + GST for a 2.5% share, she is a great entry point for first-time owners. NB she is currently 85% sold.
