Six-time stakes winner SIR MOMENTS and exciting two-year-old SIENNA ROSE headline Proven Thoroughbreds’ runners in the week ahead.
The Steve O’Dea-trained SIR MOMENTS (pictured), now a seven-year-old gelding, returns from a spell in the 1200m Open Handicap at Doomben on Saturday while up-and-coming stablemate SIENNA ROSE lines up as a warm favourite in the 1050m QTIS 2YO Fillies Handicap earlier in the meeting.
Overnight rain at Randwick has cast serious doubt over whether Joe Pride’s GAMBLESTOWN and LAST WISH for John Thompson start in their respective races on Saturday. Both horses could be saved for next Saturday’s meeting at Rosehill.
On Sunday at the Sunshine Coast the O’Dea-trained EVERYDAY LADY has been entered for two races but is most likely to accept for the 1400m QTIS 3YO Handicap as she chases her second career win at start number five.
Then at Gosford on Thursday, impressive triallist SHOW ME THE HONEY debuts for the Pride stable in a 1000m Maiden.
A total of four Proven Thoroughbreds gallopers will be seen trialling at Randwick on Tuesday – GREENSPAN, CAPE COLADA, ZEDFORCE, and WATER LINE – all members of the Thompson stable.
Last week Proven Thoroughbreds had three winners – SO SPIRITED, DISCREET CHARM and REALLY REILLY – which has taken the yearly total to 38. Congratulations to our owners!
