A fruitful Saturday for Proven Thoroughbreds saw RICH LISTER and INVINCIANO combine for an interstate winning double.

3YO filly RICH LISTER (main picture) shed her maiden with a minimum of fuss at Ipswich before consistent mare INVINCIANO relished a dry track over the Randwick mile.

RICH LISTER was a drifting second favourite in the QTIS 3YO Maiden Handicap (1200m) but gave her backers little reason to panic as she charged out of the gates before settling behind a fierce-going leader.

Rising apprentice jockey Kyle Wilson-Taylor sensibly brought the daughter of RICH ENUFF out of the leader’s slipstream before the turn and quickly challenged for the front.

As the leader compounded, RICH LISTER established a healthy advantage at the 200m mark and went on to score by 1.3 lengths.

The win was the first leg of a race-to-race treble for Wilson-Taylor, who continues to turn heads on the Queensland provincial circuit.

With the QTIS Fillies bonus, RICH LISTER earned her all-ladies syndicate a cheque of $24,950 which almost equalled her yearling price tag of $32,000. Proven Thoroughbreds’ 2021 all ladies syndicate is a filly by EXCEED AND EXCEL from SQUANDERED (HIGH CHAPARRAL). Click here for more details.

Then in the penultimate event at Randwick, INVINCIANO showed great tenacity to bag her sixth career win.

A noted on-pacer, INVINCIANO crossed from a wide barrier before travelling beautifully in front for regular rider Brenton Avdulla.

The Joe Pride-trained mare stole a march on her rivals at the top of the Randwick rise before holding on grimly to record a half-length victory.

A spate of wet tracks in Sydney had disrupted much of INVINCIANO’s summer preparation so it was most pleasing to see her bounce back on her preferred dry track conditions.

It would appear that she has also found her niche over a mile which is somewhat surprising given she is by champion sprinting sire I AM INVINCIBLE.

With $234,390 in prizemoney from 22 career starts, INVINCIANO has provided some great thrills for her connections, with Saturday’s win being her fourth metropolitan success.

Proven Thoroughbreds paid $100,000 for INVINCIANO at the 2017 Magic Millions Adelaide Sale, two years before PRIVATE EYE was purchased for $62,500 at the same sale.

Proven’s other runners at the weekend included LAMINGTON DRIVE at Canberra (1st), SALTOREE at the Sunshine Coast (2nd) and HE KNOWS at Doomben (2nd).

So all in all, a successful weekend at the office!
