Owners of our unraced two-year-old filly LITTLE RIVER were celebrating the win of half-sister JAMI LADY in last Saturday’s Listed Bright Shadow Stakes at Eagle Farm.
LITTLE RIVER (STATUE OF LIBERTY x BEVICO GIRL) was purchased a couple of months after JAMI LADY (by SPIRIT OF BOOM) earned her first stakes placing in late 2019.
While LITTLE RIVER has gone about her early education for trainer Steve O’Dea, stablemate JAMI LADY has earned more than $350k in prizemoney and is now a valuable broodmare having secured a black type win.
The result is a significant boost to LITTLE RIVER’s pedigree and hopefully a precursor to her racetrack career!
The O’Dea stable almost made it a stakes double on the day when SPILL THE BEANS colt TUMBLER RIDGE finished a close-up third in the Listed Tattersall’s Club Stakes.
