During the night session of the Inglis Classic Yearling Sale, Proven Thoroughbreds was able to secure two fillies of outstanding value.

Lot 45 (pictured), a filly by NICCONI from Kuitpo Crystal was purchased for the bargain price of $20k.

This filly comes from a stout family and boasts two champion three-year-old fillies in Chile on her pedigree page.

She is a strong individual of good size with a lovely feminine head.

NICCONI has been a quiet achiever in the current group of third season sires, leading both I AM INVINCIBLE and MEDAGLIA D’ORO in the number of winners this season with 59.

A bid of $40k was enough to secure Lot 94, a filly by HINCHINBROOK from the city winning mare Magita.

This was a correct filly with more scope than most of the progeny of HINCHINBROOK, who currently leads the second season sire standings on winners and prizemoney.

She is the first foal from Magita, a daughter of MAGIC ALBERT who was able to win in the city as a spring three-year-old.

Joe Pride at Warwick Farm will be the trainer.

Saturday night’s acquisitions followed a frustrating but consistent sequence of results for Proven Thoroughbreds over the weekend with our four runners each finishing second in their respective races, including ROSE OF FALVELON at Moonee Valley on Friday night.
