Consistent mares SNIPPY FOX (pictured) and INVINCIANO will look to enhance their CVs at Randwick this Saturday.

The Joe Pride-trained pair have both tasted success in Sydney metro company and look well placed this weekend. The predicted rain will be in SNIPPY FOX’s favour as she attempts her first run beyond 1400m. Her heavy track record currently reads 2 wins and a 2nd from 3 starts.

If INVINCIANO can win, her career earnings will climb to $300,000 for her group of owners. Being by the country’s leading sire I AM INVINCIBLE, she is also worth at least six-figures as a broodmare.

Elsewhere, stablemate HIGH TRIBUTE will chase back-to-back wins at either Hawkesbury on Sunday or Warwick Farm on Monday. The former Gooree Stud-raced filly shed her maiden tag at Kembla Grange last month, defeating subsequent city winner ALIGHTED.

BLACKBOOKER

GREENSPAN looks ready to return to the winners’ stall. He ran on resolutely at Warwick Farm last start clocking 34.81 seconds for his final 600m (0.03 seconds off the fastest in the race). If trainer Kerry Parker can find a suitable race next outing, preferably over 1500m-1600m, the gelding will take some beating.

Upcoming Proven Thoroughbreds runners

Sunshine Coast Wednesday June 9

Maiden Plate 1400m:

HIGH HANDED

Steve O’Dea & Matt Hoysted/Baylee Nothdurft

Comment: Beaten more than five lengths first-up but ran on late over an unsuitable trip. Rises 200m here and can only improve. However may ultimately be looking for a mile.

Gosford Thursday June 10

Maiden Handicap 1100m:

JUST A TIFF

Joe Pride/Brenton Avdulla

Comment: Debutant who hasn’t figured in trials but far from disgraced. May lift in the pressure of raceday but prefer to see for now.

Randwick Saturday June 12

BM78 Handicap 1400m:

INVINCIANO

Joe Pride/Sam Clipperton

Comment: Coming off arguably her best first-up run to date when finishing less than a length from the winner over 1300m here a fortnight back. Usually prominent second-up and can win this so long as the fresh run hasn’t taken too much out of her.

F&M BM78 Handicap 1600m:

SNIPPY FOX

Joe Pride/Jay Ford

Comment: Remains consistent without a win in her last four outings. Rises to a mile for the first time in her career but can certainly win with an easier tempo up front.

Hawkesbury Sunday June 12

Class 1 Handicap 1500m:

HIGH TRIBUTE

Joe Pride/TBA

Comment: Broke through last start with a good win over a subsequent city winner. This looks a suitable progression.

Sunshine Coast Sunday June 13

Class 1 Handicap 1000m:

TRIP THE LIGHT

Steve O’Dea & Matt Hoysted/TBA

Comment: Impressive recent trial winner at Doomben. Broke her maiden over this track and distance last year and needs to go on with it now.

Ballina Monday June 14

Maiden Plate 1000m:

NEXT TO EXCEL

Steve O’Dea & Matt Hoysted/TBA

Comment: Only caught in the shadows of the post last time at the Sunshine Coast. Looks to have above average ability and will take some catching here.

CG&E Maiden Handicap 1300m:

YOU CHOOSE

Steve O’Dea & Matt Hoysted/TBA

Comment: Rises to 1300m for the first time after struggling to break through over shorter trips. Any rain about would aid his chances.

Warwick Farm Monday June 14

Class 3 Handicap 1500m:

HIGH TRIBUTE

Joe Pride/TBA

Comment: Broke through last start with a good win over a subsequent city winner. This looks a suitable progression.
