Four runners on Friday begins the week ahead for Proven Thoroughbreds.

Goulburn will be the venue for three of those runners – COUNTERFIRENIJINSKA, and MISSED THE ALARM.

The John Bateman-trained COUNTERFIRE strikes a winnable race over 2120m and has the services of top jockey Blake Shinn.

In the following event, two-year-olds NIJINSKA and MISSED THE ALARM debut for John Thompson over 1300m.

UNYIELDING is our other starter for the day and represents the first Proven Thoroughbreds galloper to race for our Victorian trainer Archie Alexander. The son of I AM INVINCIBLE tackles the 1000m BM70 on the Geelong Synthetic track.

On Saturday, consistent gelding ARGENT D’OR (pictured) lines up in the 1300m BM80 following two excellent runs back from a spell. The Joe Pride-trained galloper needs the speed on up front but is ready to win.

Then on Sunday the Steve O’Dea-trained REAL STING heads to the Sunshine Coast for the 1600m C3. Like ARGENT D’OR, the gelding is third-up from a spell.

Our final runner in the week ahead will be GREENSPAN in 1900m event at Canterbury on Wednesday. The Thompson-trained three-year-old will be partnered by Blake Shinn in search of his second career win.
