Hardy gelding REALLY REILLY (pictured) will look to stage a significant form reversal when he lines up in the 0-70 Benchmark event of 1400m at the Gold Coast Saturday. The 6yo is one of two runners in the black & lime green at the meeting with 5yo LOTHARIO contesting the C6 also of 1400m later in the day. In form apprentice Jag Guthmann-Chester takes the ride on both horses.

In an all Queensland weekend for us, Steve O’Dea takes maidens SETOKA and BEAU DANCER to the big stretches of the Sunshine Coast Sunday. Both look poised to run well. Meantime WAS IT WORTH IT, who nosed out SETOKA for second at Doomben most recently could take his place in a 1660m Maiden at Ipswich midweek should Steve decide to run.

The action down south doesn’t kick in until Wednesday when John Thompson sends both CANNON RUN and TAHSIN to Canterbury. The former is resuming after failing to handle wet tracks last time in whilst TAHSIN is coming off a miserable last placing at Rosehill recently when pulling throughout.

Thursday John Bateman saddles READABEEL in a C1 & Maiden of 1600m at Wagga and 24 hours later takes BELLA SCENICA over the road to her home track of Goulburn for a 1600m Maiden. These two 4 year old mares both have pretensions to a staying career. In the same race at Goulburn John Thompson stretches the disappointing RATIONALE to a distance he’s expected to appreciate whilst Joe Pride contemplates a run for MASTERATI in the 1200m Maiden.
