Owners of TAHSIN will be hoping the gelding’s impeccable 1600m record translates to another metropolitan victory at Warwick Farm on Wednesday.

All five of TAHSIN’s career wins have come over a mile while his record at Warwick Farm is also encouraging (5: 1-1-2).

And trainer Joe Pride has been in a purple patch of form for Proven Thoroughbreds with two city winners and a provincial winner since April 10.

Four other horses will represent the black and lime green this week, including TAHSIN’s stablemate BROOK MAGIC, who resumes in a 1000m scamper at Randwick’s Kensington track on Saturday.

Upcoming Proven Thoroughbreds runners:

Warwick Farm Wednesday April 24:

Maiden 1100m

 INVINCIANO

Joe Pride/Christian Reith

Comment: A hopelessly unlucky first-up run saw her climbing over their backs in the Hawkesbury home straight with no where to go. Goes from a provincial maiden to city maiden but can certainly win with a change of luck.

BM70 1600m

 TAHSIN

Joe Pride/Robbie Dolan

Comment: Finished third over this track and distance a fortnight back. Looks set to peak third-up and will appreciate the 2kg apprentice claim.

Wyong Thursday May 2:

Maiden 1100m

INVINCIANO

Joe Pride/Sam Clipperton

Comment: A hopelessly unlucky first-up run saw her climbing over their backs in the Hawkesbury home straight with no where to go. Goes from a provincial maiden to city maiden but can certainly win with a change of luck.

Wagga Thursday May 2:

Maiden 1400m

 THE BLUESMOBILE

John Bateman/Tim Clark

Comment: A largely inconclusive debut at Wagga where he struck trouble in the straight and conceded ground. Looking for him to finish closer up to 1400m.

Randwick-Kensington Saturday May 4:

BM78 1000m

 BROOK MAGIC

Joe Pride/Robbie Dolan

Comment: Super honest mare out to enhance a fresh record that reads five starts for three wins and a second. Some rain would greatly boost her chances.

Sunshine Coast Sunday May 5:

Class 1 1600m

 THE GOLDEN HIND

Steve O’Dea/Ronnie Stewart

Comment: Rises to a mile having shed his maiden over 1400m at the same venue two weeks ago. Faces the notoriously difficult task of going from a maiden to class one company but is expected to relish stepping up in distance.
