A busy Anzac Day highlights the week ahead for Proven Thoroughbreds.

Proven Thoroughbreds could field up to six runners across three meetings on the public holiday but first, two fillies are set to fly the black and lime green silks on Saturday.

The Steve O’Dea-trained SIENNA ROSE is an acceptor in the 1050m 2YO Plate at Doomben on Saturday however could be saved for another day if the rain persists in Brisbane.

DISCREET CHARM, from the John Thompson stable, comes back in grade and distance in the 1500m C1 for fillies and mares at Kembla Grange after a fair effort in the Group III Adrian Knox Stakes (2000m) at Randwick earlier this month.

Wednesday is Anzac Day and Proven Thoroughbreds’ runners include SO SPIRITED and BRING ME SHOWERS at Randwick, MASTERATI (pictured), COUNTERFIRE and BELLA SCENICA at Gosford, and UNYIELDING at Bathurst.

The Joe Pride-trained SO SPIRITED resumes from a spell in the 1200m BM79 Handicap while BRING ME SHOWERS kicks off her career for the Thompson stable in the 1200m 2YO Fillies Maiden Plate.

Another Pride runner, MASTERATI, heads to the 1200m C2 Handicap where he will be fitter following his third placing over 1000m first-up at Hawkesbury on April 5.

Similarly, John Bateman-trained pair COUNTERFIRE and BELLA SCENICA are reaching peak fitness as they prepare for the 2100m C1 & Maiden Plate at the same meeting.

Consistent gelding UNYIELDING, prepared by Nick Olive in Canberra, rounds out our Anzac Day runners and is set to run in the 1200m BM67 Handicap.

Our trialists in the week ahead include the promising SCALLOPINI at Deagon on Tuesday and Thompson-trained pair GREENSPAN and WATER LINE at Canterbury on the same day.
