Game little filly SETOKA (pictured) made it two wins from her last three runs when defying the bias to on pace runners, coming from near the tail of the field to score a dominant win in the C1 1400m event at the Sunshine Coast Sunday.

After breaking through at her seventh outing at Grafton two starts ago, the Sebring filly has never raced better.

The wide placement of the rail at the Sunshine Coast (11-12m) invariably favours on speed runners and so it was Sunday prior to SETOKA‘s bold finish in the lucky last.

A daring ride from Paul Hammersley was pivotal to her win as he patiently awaited an opening between horses when coming to the extreme outside looked the only option.

Sprinting quickly as the gap appeared, SETOKA went on to record PROVEN’S 11th victory of the year.

More wins look in after commentator Paul Dolan said in his call, she was “the only horse to come from back in the field to win all day”. For a replay of the race CLICK HERE.
