Promising 3 year old WAS IT WORTH IT showed a touch of class when disposing of older rivals in the C3 1200m at the Sunshine Coast Sunday. Trainer Steve O’Dea (pictured) had been forced to scratch the gelding from Doomben last week after an incident in the tie up stalls but a quick recovery saw him return from a spell in style.

Having won 3 of his 6 starts the son of LOVE CONQUERS ALL looks to have a bright future especially considering his two previous victories were at 1600m. Sprinting quickly from the rear for jockey Paul Hammersley, WAS IT WORTH IT won narrowly but decisively to rack up PROVEN’S 8th winner in 2018. Trainer Steve O’Dea has prepared half of those.

The sales season is in full swing and we’ve been very busy acquiring further additions to the growing team which this year includes Victoria. Ballarat trainer Archie Alexander will prepare horses in the black and lime green for the first time.
