Proven Thoroughbreds was delighted to secure two fillies by COMMANDS and WRITTEN TYCOON over the concluding two days of the Inglis Melbourne Premier Sale.
The first of Proven Thoroughbreds’ purchases was lot 427 for $65k (pictured), a filly from the last crop of the late COMMANDS, out of the winning ZABEEL mare – Z’ HONOR.
This filly boasts the proven DANEHILL x ZABEEL cross and the mother of the dam – HONOR BOUND – was a Group I winner on the racetrack.
She is a strong first foal that moved well and hails from the same family as Proven galloper TAHSIN, which finished a credible third on debut at Newcastle earlier this week.
Like TAHSIN, John Thompson at Randwick will be the trainer.

Lot 601, a filly by hot sire WRITTEN TYCOON, was knocked down to Proven Thoroughbreds for the bargain price of $22.5k.
The dam, KELENDRIA, has produced two foals to race for one winner and a city placegetter on debut.
This filly bears a striking resemblance to our former talented galloper REDALUCA’S GAZE, who has since carved out a successful broodmare career, producing stakes performers SINGLE GAZE and LE VAL from only three foals to race.
Among the filly’s physical qualities are a strong hindquarter and terrific bone.
John Bateman, who is doing an outstanding job out of Guy’s former Goulburn base, will be the trainer.
