Out of the winter and into the spring, Proven Thoroughbreds has a host of chances in the week ahead.
Our upcoming runners will be predominantly in Queensland, headed by SCALLOPINI’s little sister RED RUBI (pictured). The daughter of RUBICK is aiming to extend her current winning streak to four at Eagle Farm on Saturday while RICH LISTER gets her chance to win back-to-back at the Gold Coast on the same day.
Elsewhere, SILVER SCISSORS will be hoping for a change of luck when she tackles maiden company at Wyong on Friday.
The first month of the new season has been fruitful for Proven with a quartet of winners, including PRIVATE EYE’s exhilarating first-up win in the Group 3 Show County Quality at Randwick. The 4YO gelding continues to impress trainer Joe Pride as he prepares for the Group 2 Theo Marks Stakes (1300m) at Kembla Grange on Saturday week.

MY SHAMANA caught the eye on debut last week when hitting the line strongly over 1200m at the Gold Coast. The daughter of CHOISIR is going to be better over further in time so we could hardly have asked for much more at her first career start. Think if she can draw an alley next time she will be hard to beat.
Comment: No luck whatsoever first-up at Hawkesbury. Despite being held up for a run for most of the straight she still managed to finish within a length of the winner. Open to significant improvement and must be considered a winning chance on that effort.
Comment: Has finished out of the placings in two runs back this time in but should be ready to show something third-up. His second to BATANGA’S ENTRY over this distance last preparation reads well here.
Comment: Got the job done as a short priced favourite last start and that can give her the confidence to go on with it here. 1200m appears to be her ideal trip and has tactical speed.
Comment: Struck a hot field last Saturday and was outclassed by some of Brisbane’s best 3YOs. Racing like she is looking for this distance and meets much easier opposition.

Comment: Returned from a long break at Doomben last start and did a good job to finish fifth on a deteriorating track. Has a touch of class but will likely have to go back from the wide draw.
