The Joe Pride-trained mare (pictured) will be aiming for her fifth win from 15 career starts when she returns from a freshen-up in the 1000m sprint at Randwick and gets conditions to suit with a heavy track.
However, the widespread rainfall has cast doubt over starts for stablemate SHOW ME THE HONEY possibly backing up at Kembla after an unplaced run at Wyong Thursday and Steve O’Dea’s recent acquisition MASTERATI at Doomben.
Our other Doomben runner, TOO HOT TO HOLD, will run in the 1350m QTIS 3YO Handicap regardless of the conditions.
The on Sunday, more rain will likely see the O’Dea-trained WAS IT WORTH IT scratched from the Sunshine Coast meeting and saved for another day.
HI ZERO, another O’Dea stable member, has also been disrupted by the weather and wide gates, scratched from a handful of races as we await a suitable first start for the son of Eurozone.
It is hoped that the 1200m QTIS 3YO Maiden Plate at Ipswich on Tuesday will be where the gelding will make his delayed debut.
Doomben on Wednesday will see O’Dea pair COOL SEQUENCE and BRING ME SHOWERS line up in the 1200m Class 5 and 1200m Maiden respectively.
On the same day at Randwick’s Kensington meeting, veteran GAMBLESTOWN and debutante FIGHT FOR LOVE step out for the Pride stable. The former is entered for the BM76 1800m while the latter is nominated for the 1100m 3YO Maiden. However like most of our runners this week, much will depend on what transpires with the weather.
