CONTEMPTUOUS and STROLL will form a two-pronged attack on Saturday’s feature meeting at Doomben for Proven Thoroughbreds as Queensland’s summer carnival starts to heat up.
The ever-consistent CONTEMPTUOUS gets his chance to break through at stakes level in the Group 3 George Moore Stakes (1200m) while STROLL continues her campaign towards the Magic Millions 3YO Guineas in the Listed Mode Stakes (1200m).
Both horses have won within their last two starts and look live chances to add to Proven Thoroughbreds’ eight feature race wins in 2022.

BLACK BOOKER
CHILLI JAM put in a slashing return at Canterbury last Friday. She had to settle in the back half of the field from a wide draw and when presented with clear running by Regan Bayliss in the straight she let down smartly to finish within three lengths of the winner and running a comparable last 600m. Looks to have above average ability and doubt she will be a maiden for much longer.
