A trio of last-start winners feature in this week’s runners.
STELLAR MAGIC (pictured), THINK GLORY and KYLEASE each tasted victory at their most recent outings and can extend their winning form in the days ahead.
THINK GLORY is set to line up at Doomben on Wednesday chasing a hat-trick before STELLAR MAGIC and KYLEASE step out on Saturday. The latter has been nominated for feature sprints at both Eagle Farm and Kembla Grange, with a decision to be made at acceptance time on Wednesday.
STELLAR MAGIC will use Saturday’s 3YO Handicap (1000m) as a launch pad to the Listed Mode Plate (1200m) at Doomben on December 4.
Last week luck was not on our side, particularly RED RUBI who looked a good thing beaten at the Sunshine Coast on Friday night. However we can’t be too disappointed as it was our first winless week since the beginning of September.

Comment: Always hard to get a guide on first starters. Hasn’t been overly impressive at the trials but raceday can sometimes incite sharp improvement. Will likely get back and hopefully running on.
Comment: Just caught in the final bound last start. Suspect she hit the front a bit early and got a bit lost. She’s a better chaser and should get that here.
Comment: Slow maturing type that has shown the benefit of being given time, winning her last two impressively. Needs to keep improving but is going well and her racing pattern will be advantageous around Doomben.
Comment: Put in arguably a career best performance when winning first-up at Eagle Farm. Stays at 1000m and doesn’t have to lead if there is pressure up front.
Comment: Determined win from off the pace last start. Had to reel off some slick sectionals to come from behind in a slowly run race. Still learning her race craft but has obvious class.
