Two stakes runners across two states highlight Proven Thoroughbreds’ runners in the week ahead.
STOCKMAN continues his quest for an overdue victory at Rosehill on Saturday having raced without much luck this preparation while KYLEASE (pictured) is set to feature on Ipswich Cup day.
KYLEASE was a gallant runner-up when bloused late in the Listed Chief De Beers (1110m) at Doomben last month. She lines up in the Listed Gai Waterhouse Classic (1200m) in search of a valuable black type win.
SCALLOPINI has also been nominated for the Ipswich meeting but will be saved for the Glasshouse Handicap at the Sunshine Coast next month.
As we draw towards the end of the 2020-21 season on July 31, Proven has announced some important dates to keep in the diary.
Joe Pride open morning Sunday June 27 from 9.30am
Steve O’Dea & Matt Hoysted open morning Sunday July 4 from 9.30am
Both events will be fully catered and include free merchandise (lapel pins, cufflinks and bag charms/pendants). A selection of available yearlings will be showcased as well as current racehorses.

Comment: Returns to metro company after finishing third as favourite at Goulburn in a class 3. Was a touch disappointing there but plunges 8kg in weight and will give the others something to catch.
Comment: Coming off a minor set back but has maintained fitness with a 1000m barrier trial since finishing fourth here over 1600m a month ago. Gets out to her preferred distance now.
Comment: Led all bar the last hop in stakes company last start. Been kept fresh since which suits and her on-pace style of racing looks tailor made for Ipswich.
Comment: Racing well without winning. Got onto heels at a crucial point last time and proved costly, finishing third. Comes back in trip which is a query but likely to get his preferred rain-affected surface again.
Comment: Coming off arguably her best first-up run to date when finishing less than a length from the winner three weeks ago. Usually prominent second-up and can win this so long as the fresh run hasn’t taken too much out of her.
