Up to seven runners could step out for Proven Thoroughbreds this week including four last start placegetters knocking on the door for a win.

GOSSIP COLUMN, COME CLEAN, THATFEELSBETTER (pictured) and COOL RECEPTION are each coming off placings into their respective races this week, as the Proven team chases win number 57 for the season, which renews on August 1.

Among our remaining upcoming runners is the debutante CLASSIC BOOM, a 3YO SPIRIT OF BOOM filly entered to race over 1000m at the Sunshine Coast on Sunday, following an encouraging trial win last month.

In other news, PRIVATE EYE and STOCKMAN are back in training with Joe Pride as they prepare for spring carnival assaults while SCALLOPINI will join the O’Dea-Hoysted Melbourne team, kicking off with the Group 3 Bletchingly Stakes (1200m) at Caulfield on July 23.

She will head to a BM90 race over a mile back at Doomben next start and given her second-up record (4:3-0-0) she is sure to be a good chance.
