A busy week awaits the Proven Thoroughbreds with runners on each of the next seven days.
All three of our affiliated stables – Joe Pride, Steve O’Dea/Matt Hoysted and Kerry Parker – will have representatives at the races this week.
The O’Dea/Hoysted-trained GET EVEN is set to make her debut at the Sunshine Coast Sunday following an encouraging trial at Deagon last week. The 2YO filly is the first foal out of former Proven Thoroughbreds-raced mare SLEEP TIGHT.
Also featuring at the Sunday meeting will be city winning stablemates RED RUBI and HE KNOWS. Both are resuming from spells with bigger targets in mind.
Meanwhile, on the same day at Gosford, promising filly RUBINOCCHI (pictured) will look to bounce back from a forgettable run at Randwick earlier this month when she missed the start and over-raced before being blocked for a run in the straight. Prior to that the 2YO daughter of RUBICK was an impressive winner at Kembla Grange.

Comment: Hasn’t figured in two trials back this time in. Probably needs further than this if he’s going to measure up long term. Does appear to handle wet tracks which is in his favour here.
Comment: Has been cruelled by wet tracks so far this preparation but the stable is convinced she’s going as well as ever. If the track can get back to a soft (5) she’s a chance of improving sharply and figuring at big odds.
Comment: Got back and didn’t run on first-up. Suspect she was just run off her feet there and will appreciate rising to 1400m. May ultimately be looking for beyond a mile.
Comment: Forget she ran last time. Missed the start, over-raced badly behind horses and was disappointed for a run in the home straight. Win prior to that was good when she was able to lead. Will be hard to beat if she can do that here.
Comment: Well-bred mare returning from a spell. Ended last preparation with a strong win at Doomben over 1200m and strikes a winnable race here first-up.
