ACCREDITED is all set for ‘Take 2’ in the Group 3 Southern Cross Stakes (1200m) at Rosehill this Saturday.
After seeing last Saturday’s Listed Carrington Stakes (1400m) scrapped due to a lack of acceptors, ACCREDITED (pictured) will be out to continue his winning streak this weekend, but faces much stiffer opposition and a drop in distance.
Meanwhile another last start winner OTONO lines up at Newcastle on the same day, in what will be her first appearance for the Kerry Parker stable after switching from Joe Pride’s yard in search of more suitable races on the provincial circuit.
Parker will also saddle up first starter WILD THOUGHTS at Kembla on Wednesday. The son of SO YOU THINK put in an eye-catching trial at Warwick Farm last week and has a home ground advantage for his debut.
Up in Queensland the resuming MOONFLEET will look to kick off her preparation the way she finished last campaign, when she chases her second career win at the Sunshine Coast’s Sunday meeting.

Won the Group 2 Australia Stakes with SCHWARZ at The Valley on Friday before jagging the quinella WJ Adams Stakes 24 hours later with PHILOSOPHER and MIDWEST. Also produced the Blue Diamond Preview (F) runner-up in PRICE TAG to cap a fantastic weekend.
BLACK BOOKER – TERMAGANT
No prizes for finding this one. She was an absolute tragedy beaten at the Sunshine Coast last Saturday. Had a gap close on her and was severely checked which left her last at the 150m mark before she surged late to just miss. Scheduled to run again on Saturday week and no doubt will be well found in the market.
