Classy filly STROLL can rubber stamp her Magic Millions Guineas credentials with another stakes win on Saturday.

The dual-stakes winner returns to Doomben for the Group 3 Vo Rogue Plate (1350m) after taking out the Listed Mode Stakes (1200m) on December 3.

And the form out of the Mode Plate was franked last Saturday when the Mode Stakes third-place getter SUNSHINE IN PARIS emerged an impressive winner of the last event at Randwick.

The Steve O’Dea-Matt Hoysted camp also has TERANGA down to race at Doomben’s New Year’s Eve meeting while stablemate CANADIAN DANCER will head south to Randwick.

The first day of 2023 will see the Joe Pride-trained mare SNIPPY FOX resume in the Listed Canterbury Stakes (1200m) as she looks to add to her stakes placing from last preparation.

Upcoming Proven Thoroughbreds runners

Ipswich Friday Dec 30

F&M Class 3 Plate 1200m:

MERSEYSIDE

Steve O’Dea & Matt Hoysted/Brodie Loy

Comment: Good effort to win first-up under a clever ride. Races over the same track and distance from barrier one with a second-up record that reads (2:0-2-0).

Doomben Saturday Dec 31

G3 Vo Rogue Plate 1350m:

STROLL

Steve O’Dea & Matt Hoysted/Boris Thornton

Comment: Strong winner here a month ago and is racing as though she will appreciate getting out to this distance. Drawn favourably and faces not an overly strong field.

BM72 Handicap 1615m:

TERANGA

Steve O’Dea & Matt Hoysted/Jaden Lloyd (a1.5)

Comment: Excellent first-up run over 1350m here when beaten narrowly after sustaining a long run to the post. Will relish this distance rise.

Randwick Saturday Dec 31

BM78 Handicap 1600m:

CANADIAN DANCER

Steve O’Dea & Matt Hoysted/Sam Clipperton

Comment: Comes back to benchmark company for her first interstate run. Looks well placed up to a mile third-up and drawn well.

Gosford Saturday Dec 31

Maiden Handicap 1200m:

CHILLI JAM

Joe Pride/TBA

Comment: Might have been ridden a touch handy last time and was caught wide over the 1200m at Kembla. Capable of bouncing back hard going off her first-up run at Canterbury.

Canterbury Sunday Jan 1

Listed Canterbury Stakes 1200m

SNIPPY FOX

Joe Pride/Jay Ford

Comment: First-up from a spell. Seems to get better with every preparation but this is an unusually strong field and she generally improves with racing.

3YO Fillies Maiden Plate 1200m:

CHILLI JAM

Joe Pride/TBA

Comment: Might have been ridden a touch handy last time and was caught wide over the 1200m at Kembla. Capable of bouncing back hard going off her first-up run at Canterbury.
