In a seismic shake up to the breeding industry, international giants Coolmore have purchased SUPER SETH from New Zealand’s Waikato Stud for more than $60 million.

After siring four Group 1 winners from his first two crops, SUPER SETH was already well on his way to establishing himself as the pre-eminent stallion standing in NZ.

Indeed, such results had not been seen by a NZ sire since the mighty ZABEEL produced three Group 1 winners during his progeny’s first two racing seasons.

With SUPER SETH now calling the Hunter Valley home, his stud career is poised to reach even greater heights as he will have access to a quality of broodmare not readily available in NZ.

This upgrade will soon be reflected at yearling sales where the median price for SUPER SETH’s yearlings has already risen 50% on last year.

“For a young horse, the trajectory that he is on is something that is very rarely seen,” Coolmore’s Tom Magnier said.

If SUPER SETH yearlings were a share on the stock market, “buy now” would be the unequivocal advice from stockbrokers.

Fortunately, there is still time to jump on the SUPER SETH train via one of his colts Proven purchased at Karaka last month.

For the very affordable price of $4500 inc GST, you can own a share in a colt bred on the exact same cross as SUPER SETH’s champion 2yo LA DORADA.
