The potent partnership that is Proven Thoroughbreds and Steve O’Dea was emphasized at Eagle Farm on Saturday as COOL SEQUENCE and SCALLOPINI cleared out from their opposition to quinella the 1200m Class 6.

Having seen HIT SNOOZE take out the opening race of the day, Steve went on to bookend the program with Proven’s old warrior COOL SEQUENCE who, for the second consecutive start, bravely led from start to finish in Saturday metro company.

SCALLOPINI chased resolutely to complete the quinella and actually protested unsuccessfully against the stablemate.

The result was a timely statement by Proven Thoroughbreds as it was on the eve of our annual Kolora Lodge open day.

Steve is enjoying another grand season of winners, with Saturday’s double taking his tally up to 40 since August 1.

Proven Thoroughbreds is also riding the crest of wave with 15 winners and more than $650k in prizemoney in the fìrst seven weeks of 2019.
