Sydney’s autumn carnival comes to a close at Randwick this Saturday and our form analyst Nic Ashman is backing a 3yo SNITZEL gelding.

“Third-up and this is where he starts to peak. He’s only raced beyond his second run in a prep on two occasions and won both of them,” Ashman said.
“He was our blackbooker last start in the Carbine Club Stakes when stuck on slightly inferior going but was ultra strong through the line.
“Suited up to 2000m and maps to settle in the first half dozen. With an ounce of luck at the top of the straight he should be too good.”
The top price around for MATIAS as of Friday afternoon was $2.80.
