Our resident times analyst Nic Ashman has found one at double-figure odds in the Group 1 Winterbottom Stakes (1200m) at Ascot.
“I’m expecting horses to be able to run on but we’re told lanes 2 to 7 should provide the bulk of the winners,” Ashman said.
“MARHARBA’s ratings have spiralled in the right direction this prep. He was slick late first-up behind BELLATRIX STAR and then ran fast time winning down the straight during Cup week.
“The 28-day gap is perfect as it gives him time to freshen-up out of that hard-run race. OVERPASS came off 49 days to win last year. He’ll settle off pace in the second half of the field but will be charging late in the right part of the track.”
The top price around for MAHARBA as at Thursday afternoon was $11.
