The Magic Millions Adelaide Yearling Sale has become a haven for bargain hunters and the 2025 catalogue once again offered exceptional value for money.
Having previously sourced the likes of PRIVATE EYE ($62,500), IN FLIGHT ($220,000), FLYING BANDIT ($20,000), INVINCIANO ($100,000) and LYNCEAN ACADEMY ($20,000) from this sale, Proven Thoroughbreds not surprisingly went back to the well this year, purchasing two classy fillies by emerging stallions TASSORT and LUCKY VEGA, for an aggregate price of $195,000 + GST.
Pakenham trainer Charlotte Littlefield, who has prepared two winners from her last two starters and has SHE’S BULLETPROOF engaged in Saturday’s Group 1 William Reid Stakes (1200m) at Moonee Valley, was delighted to take home both fillies after inspecting them at the Morphettville sales complex.
Charlotte was recently appointed Proven Thoroughbreds’ Victorian based trainer. She is from Somerset, England where her interest in horses began with pony club before finding her way onto the British Eventing Team at the European Championships. Charlotte moved to Australia in 2005 and 10 years later established a boutique training operation – Hayfields Racing – with her husband Julian Hay. (You can read a full bio on Charlotte HERE).
