They say timing is everything in racing and the old adage rang true at a packed Kolora Lodge on Sunday as Proven Thoroughbreds and trainer Steve O’Dea waxed lyrical about our next generation of racehorses.
Less than 24 hours after Proven gallopers COOL SEQUENCE and SCALLOPINI snared the quinella in the last race at Eagle Farm, a throng of clients, both old and new, rolled up to the picturesque surroundings of premium equine education facility Kolora Lodge with drinks and food in abundance.
We showcased yearlings by established sires like SEBRING, NOT A SINGLE DOUBT, and CHOISIR, as well as freshman stallions such as RICH ENUFF and SPILL THE BEANS.
A big thank you must go to the Kolora Lodge staff who helped facilitate the day’s proceedings and paraded the horses in magnificent order.
This season Proven Thoroughbreds has been a huge beneficiary of the O’Dea stable’s exponential success, with a regular stream of Saturday winners in Brisbane.
As a show of faith to Steve and our ongoing commitment to holding a prominent position in Queensland racing, Proven Thoroughbreds purchased 14 yearlings for the O’Dea stable this year – ranging in price from $20k to $160k.
