Hardy mare INVINCIANO burst back into the winner’s stall with an emphatic front-running performance at the Randwick Kensington Track Wednesday, landing PROVEN’S 60th winner for the 20/21 season in the process.

The rising 6 year old mare recorded her 5th city win and 7th overall in a 27 start career that’s yielded almost $270k. And she’s far from finished.

“It’s just a matter of dry tracks and getting control. She’s  a tough mare and I love riding her,” revealed jockey Brenton Avdulla after the big I Am Invincible mare lumped 61kg and put 2.5 lengths between herself and her nearest rival in the 1550m BM72 event.

Never really exposed to affected ground early in her career (the first dozen runs were all on Good surfaces), INVINCIANO,  like so many above average horses, has progressively exposed clearer form patterns as her career has unfolded. Primarily she’s developed a real aversion to affected ground and an absolute love affair with firm decks.

Her eight tries on rain affected tracks have produced a lone third in stark contrast to her 4 start 3-1-0 record on GOOD 3’s. The Joe Pride galloper is also lethal on a quick turnaround. Backing up 7 days or less on four occasions the mare has fashioned a trio of city wins and a close third on dare it be said, a rain affected surface!

It’s also become apparent that racing on speed or in front over distances from 1500-1600m is something this very honest performer relishes. Her record over these trips has resulted in 4 wins from 7 starts.

Joe Pride is keen to eventually try her over slightly longer races given her high cruising speed but her more immediate target is a 1500m BM78 Saturday August 7 at Rosehill which could lead to an attempt on the LISTED ROWLEY Mile at Hawkesbury 12 days later.
