INDEFENSIBLE confirmed trainer Joe Pride’s high opinion of her with an impressive win at Wyong on Sunday.
After disposing of her maiden on the Canberra Acton track last month, INDEFENSIBLE made the notoriously difficult leap to benchmark grade look easy.
The daughter of ALL TOO HARD was trapped three wide facing the breeze throughout the 1200m contest, but still proved too strong for her benchmark 64 opposition, winning by just over half a length under experienced jockey Jeff Penza.
Adding merit to the win was the race time of 1:11.63 – the fastest of three 1200m events on the program.

It was a performance that had been coming according to Pride.
“I’ve always liked this filly and was really impressed with that win,” a vindicated Pride beamed post race.
“That was a hot tempo and she had to sustain a very long run after sitting deep which shows the quality she has.”
“The track was still well and truly in the soft range and I think she will be better on top of the round again.
“She’s very much on the way up.”
A $90,000 Inglis Classic purchase, INDEFENSIBLE followed a treble of winners at Randwick for the Pride stable 24 hours earlier, which included Proven’s Listed Bob Charley AO Stakes victor IN FLIGHT.
Proven’s winner tally for season 2024-25 is now up to 53 with prizemoney closing in on $4 million.
