Not to be upstaged by her Proven peers, royally bred filly COSMONOVA endorsed her December maiden victory with an impressive display against older, more experienced mares at Wyong Thursday.

In a six week blitz, 3YO fillies in the black & lime green have registered eight victories in NSW & South East Queensland.

FORTUNEER won twice and is going for the treble at Eagle Farm Saturday, CARTWHEELS & HEYOKA also broke their maidens for O’Dea/Hoysted whilst the Joe Pride trained THE BLACK CLOUD won her second race on the bounce at the Kensington circuit just 24 hours prior to COSMONOVA’S disposal of BM64 rivals.

Secured for $220,000 from Milburn Creek’s draft at the Inglis Premier Yearling Sale 2 years ago, ZOUSTAR filly COSMONOVA has now won 2 of her 3 starts and also has a major pedigree update courtesy of older half-sister MAGIC TIME’s recent Group 1 triumph in the Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes at Caulfield.

“She’s got lots of ability and is a real professional,” beamed rider Reece Jones following the 1100m win.

“She picked up straight away after sitting outside the leader but I thought though, she would have been better chasing. Out in front she was starting to have a think about it, ears going everywhere! But her class prevailed.”

The paddock now beckons for this promising type who secured Proven’s 5th victory of the year and 25th for the season.
