Speed machine BROOK MAGIC defeated older horses in sizzling time at Warwick Farm on Australia Day.

The Joe Pride-trained filly was first-up over 1000m after two solid barrier trial wins and took up her customary position in the lead for jockey Brenton Avdulla before dashing away to a convincing 1.8-length victory in class record time.

A $40k Inglis Classic Sale purchase, BROOK MAGIC has already proven a worthy investment for her owners, banking $113k from just seven career starts. A short course specialist, the three-year-old daughter of HINCHINBROOK, is likely to pursue black type races before she turns four.
