At the 2026 renewal last week, Proven combined with trainer Charlotte Littlefield to purchase two bargain-priced colts by GRUNT. Both yearlings cost less than the sale median of $30,000.
With GRUNT being a resident stallion of Yulong in Victoria, our colts can potentially earn back their purchase price as soon as their first start courtesy of the rich VOBIS prizemoney scheme.
The pedigrees of these colts are dripping with stamina and thus will be prepared as staying 3yos which will give them the chance to embark on a Derby path.
The rich double cross of ZABEEL, seen in the pedigrees of both colts, has produced 19 stakes winners, 11 of which won a Derby/Oaks or won a lead-up to the 3yo classics.
Given the similarity of these colts on price and pedigree, Proven is doing a special promotion where you can purchase a 2.5% share in both horses at a discounted price of $1800 ($250 less than the advertised price). Owners who take up this option will join a newly formed syndicated called GRUNT FOR YOUR BUCK.
