The Joe Pride-trained ACCREDITED atoned for an unlucky defeat first-up with a resounding victory at Warwick Farm on Wednesday.
One of the more frustrating horses in our team, no one has doubted this gelding’s ability but he’s struck misfortune more often than not in his short career.
Jockey Nash Rawiller seized the opportunity to take luck out of the equation when presented with the chance early in the 1200m BM72 Handicap.
“He jumped great and I took advantage of that and gave him a squeeze,” Rawiller said.
“But then he relaxed great and then when the other horse came up alongside me he just lifted underneath me again. He’s been able to show his class today and the best is yet to come.”

ACCREDITED ($1.55) had three lengths to spare over NOT THAT EASY ($26), who was labelled as the horse we had to beat by our times analyst Nic Ashman in his pre-race assessment. LLEWELLYN ($4) was a further 0.4 lengths away in third.
Saturday metropolitan company now beckons for the son of ALL TOO HARD, with upcoming race options including BM78 Handicaps over 1200m and 1300m however Rawiller gave our trainer something to think about going forward.
“I think he will get 1400m,” he said.
ACCREDITED, our 55th winner for 2024, was a $100,000 purchase from the Milburn Creek draft of the 2021 Inglis Melbourne Premier Yearling Sale. He advances his overall record to four wins and four placings from 11 starts for $149,125 in prizemoney.
