DUNDEEL, SO YOU THINK, TORONADO and REDWOOD were represented by 24 runners across Flemington’s 4 iconic meetings and produced 5 winners (21%).
Overall, 18 of the 24 runners (75%) finished between 1st and 5th in their respective races – quite the achievement considering the large field sizes often seen during Melbourne Cup week.
By comparison, sons of REDOUTE’S CHOICE (SNITZEL, NOT A SINGLE DOUBT, STRATUM, etc) produced only 2 winners from 20 runners (10%), while 10 (50%) finished 6th or worse.
