The opening day of the Magic Millions Gold Coast March QTIS Sale saw Proven Thoroughbreds acquire a full sister to current Proven galloper Sleep Tight.
The daughter of Real Saga from She’s Just Dreamy was knocked down for $35k, listed as lot 16. She’s a beautiful walker with a more refined frame and better head than her sister.
Sleep Tight, bought for $64k at the corresponding sale in 2013, has shown promise in her nine career starts for Eagle Farm trainer Steve O’Dea. She hasn’t had the best of luck in her races but has proven that she is up to metropolitan class with multiple placings and prizemoney of more than $50k thus far.
The only other foal from the mother is the stakes winner Silver City (by Nothing To Lose).
Steve will also be the trainer of this filly and in an encouraging sign for the horse’s future, the breeder, Fleetwood Stud, has already retained a share.
