Proven Thoroughbreds ended the New Zealand Bloodstock Premier Yearling Sale with a Cape Blanco filly from one of the best families in the New Zealand stud book.

The filly, listed as lot 159, was secured for NZ$60k from the draft of Cambridge Stud.

She is the fifth foal out of the unraced mare Sara Ann, which is a blood-sister to Estelle Collection (dam of Lankan Rupee).

Sara Ann is also a sister to stakes winner La Sizeranne and the stakes placed Napa Sky.

The filly has a lot of leg and scope, an attribute that impressed her trainer in waiting John Thompson.

Although by first season sire Cape Blanco – a five time Group I winner in Europe and the US, she bears most resemblance to her maternal sire Stravinsky.
