Four-year-old mare CHOSEN PRAYER successfully stepped up to 1600 metres for the first time in her career at Gosford on Thursday.

CHOSEN PRAYER, trained by Joe Pride, had finished unplaced in three metropolitan runs this preparation but Thursday’s distance increase and class drop helped the mare record her third win from 10 starts.

The daughter of Choisir has endured some soundness issues during her short career so it was pleasing to see her back in the winners’ circle.

She has always displayed ability and a competitive streak, two qualities which are sure to stand her in good stead for the future.

In the interim, her patient owners will enjoy this victory and a big congratulations to Joe and rider Sam Clipperton, who also piloted our very own LAST WISH to victory at Warwick Farm 24 hours prior.

Proven Thoroughbreds now has 18 winners on the board for 2015. HIGH HARMONY will fly the Proven Thoroughbreds flag at Canberra on Friday before GAMBLESTOWN and TREMEC line up at Randwick on Saturday.
