Grey gelding SO SPIRITED made an emphatic return to form when charging up the rails to win at Wyong on Tuesday.

SO SPIRITED had been racing without much luck this preparation, finishing unplaced in four starts, but burst to life on his preferred soft ground to notch his fourth win from 19 career starts.

Another clever ride by Sydney’s form apprentice jockey Jean Van Overmeire, who bagged a winning treble on the day, was instrumental in the result as the Joe Pride-trained galloper made full use of the inside barrier.

A return to metropolitan company now beckons for SO SPIRITED, Proven Thoroughbreds’ 18th winner for the calendar year.

Proven Thoroughbreds purchased two more of So You Think’s progeny this year – the SO YOU THINK x ULTIMA CARTA filly with Joe Pride (Sold out) and the SO YOU THINK x TOPSHOPPER colt with Steve O’Dea (Limited shares available).
