For the second time in three starts, RECKLESS CHOICE thrashed his opposition in effortless style at the Sunshine Coast midweek meeting.
In one of the easiest wins you will see, RECKLESS CHOICE cruised up to the leaders under a motionless Boris Thornton to win the 1600m Class 1 Handicap by 4-1/2 lengths.
The son of CHOISIR was desperately unlucky the previous start, when his momentum was halted by a broken-down runner over 1660m at Doomben, so it was pleasing to see the gelding quickly revive memories of his 5-1/4 length demolition at Ipswich on July 11.
RECKLESS CHOICE was one of three winners on the day for trainer Steve O’Dea, who also saddled up three placegetters, including Proven’s CHOREOGRAPH in the closer.
The result was timely as Proven Thoroughbreds and the O’Dea stable host an open morning at Eagle Farm this Sunday from 9.30am. For more details: Steve O’Dea – a trainer going places!
