Luck has deserted INVINCIANO in her first two career starts so the three-year-old filly will look to set the record straight when she heads to Kembla Grange on Tuesday.
The Joe Pride-trained filly never got a crack at them on debut at Hawkesbury before a wide barrier consigned her to another luckless defeat at Wyong last start.
Proven Thoroughbreds is hoping Kembla’s Tuesday meeting will be a case of third time lucky for the daughter of I AM INVINCIBLE.
Four other Proven horses are scheduled starters in the week ahead, including last start Saturday winner TAMARACK in the $150,000 Listed Lord Mayors Cup (2000m) at Rosehill on Saturday.
Upcoming Proven Thoroughbreds runners:
Kembla Tuesday May 14
Maiden 1200m:
Joe Pride/Jay Ford
Comment: Promising filly knocking on the door for her first win. Should be at the top of her game now in terms of fitness and only bad luck again probably beats her.
Goulburn Friday May 17
Maiden 1300m
John Bateman/Shaun Guymer
Comment: Excellent run during the Wagga carnival when just pipped on the post. All the better for that experience and gets back on his home track.
Rosehill Saturday May 18:
Listed Lord Mayors Cup 2000m
Joe Pride/Jay Ford
Comment: Sprinted well fresh to score a surprise win first-up over 1500m. Expect him to be a bit more dour second-up in a race that looks to have plenty of depth.
Highway Class 2 1200m
John Bateman/Rachel King
Comment: Resumed with a dominant victory at Canberra and makes her way to town now for a crack at a Highway event. Certainly looks up to the task and will be one of the favourites come raceday.
Sunshine Coast Sunday May 19:
Maiden 1200m
Steve O’Dea/Ronnie Stewart
Comment: Still a maiden from five starts but has gone awfully close to breaking through, including a trio of runner-up finishes. Looks an ideal race to kick the preparation off.
