Two of the most important ingredients in a racehorse are, unfortunately, two things you can’t see at a yearling sale.

Those two ingredients? Desire (to race) and physical development. Both inevitably reveal themselves in the fullness of time.

While desire won’t be exposed until the cauldron of competition, physical development becomes evident much earlier.

In the nine months since the TRAPEZE ARTIST x THRILL 2yo colt was purchased at the Magic Millions Gold Coast Sale, he has filled out in every direction!

From a lean backward-looking teenager, he’s grown into a strikingly robust colt as the below comparison photo attests.

He’s also by TRAPEZE ARTIST – who sired another stakes winner on Everest day (PANOVA) – and from a FLYING SPUR mare (like THINK ABOUT IT) that has produced 5 winners from 6 to race.

LA ROUX, arguably the most promising sibling with 2 wins from 4 starts, was seen finishing 2nd to Group winner TYCOON STAR in a trial on Tuesday.

This colt is currently getting ready to come back into Eagle Farm to advance his training. You can watch the latest video update from the pre-training facility Grason Park HERE.
