The golden run of Proven’s 3YO fillies continued at Eagle Farm Saturday when the unbeaten FORTUNEER made it three on the bounce in the 1300m Handicap.
Posted three deep throughout, the daughter of RUBICK surged clear of her rivals to record a dominant win on the rain softened surface suggesting better races are in store.
“We’ll put her away now”, exclaimed co-trainer Matt Hoysted post-race.
“She’s done a really good job in her first preparation and I think we’ll then have to have a think about the Brisbane winter and maybe the next summer carnival.”
Fortuneer remains undefeated! 🤝

Rider Justin Huxtable was very succinct and glowing in his praise.
“She was obviously panels above them today and she’s going to be an exciting filly coming into the feature times of the year.”
A value $67,500 buy from Kambula Stud at the Magic Millions Adelaide Yearling Sale, FORTUNEER has always exhibited a great attitude, a quality that will serve her well as her career deepens.
It was the 9th win by a Proven 3YO filly since early December with winners prepared by both O’Dea/Hoysted and Joe Pride. Meanwhile, it was also the 6th win for our colours since January 1 and the 26th in season 23-24.
