Proven Thoroughbreds concluded the opening day of the Magic Millions March QTIS Sale with a striking colt by LOVE CONQUERS ALL from the ENCOSTA DE LAGO mare Betrayer.
Lot 34 was secured for $62.5k and the breeders have already retained a significant share.
ENCOSTA DE LAGO is one of the best broodmare sires in Australasia, second to only ZABEEL on the current Broodmare Sire rankings and has produced recent Group I winners PEEPING, THE QUARTERBACK, Group II winner HAPPY CLAPPER, and third-season sire BENETEAU.
He is a beautiful moving colt with a deep girth and gives the impression he could be an early-running type.
The dam, Betrayer has had limited opportunity at stud with two of her foals dying but her only foal to race is a winner by ECONSUL.
The colt is QTIS and Magic Millions eligible and will be prepared by our Queensland trainer Steve O’Dea.
