COOL SEQUENCE will chase back to back wins for the first time in his short career when he lines up at the Sunshine Coast on Sunday.

The Steve O’Dea-trained gelding ploughed through heavy (10) conditions to win over the 1200m course at the Sunshine Coast last start and returns in an identical race this weekend.

Stablemate BLONDE BY CHOICE, a sound third last start also at the Sunshine Coast, will start in the 1400m Class 1 Handicap.

Then at Hawkesbury on Tuesday, John Thompson-trained three-year-olds DISCREET CHARM and ZEDFORCE tackle the 1600m BM66 Handicap and 1300m Class 1 Handicap, though the latter has drawn the car park in barrier 15 and has also been nominated for Gosford on Thursday.

BLANCO CARA, another member of the Thompson stable, returns from a freshen-up the following day at Warwick Farm. The half-sister to Group I TAVAGO runs in the 1600m BM75 Handicap.

At the same meeting, Joe Pride’s TAMARACK rises to 2400m for the first time in the BM74 Handicap following two sound placings in Saturday company.

Our other midweek runner will be EVERYDAY LADY for the O’Dea stable at Ipswich.

Proven Thoroughbreds’ lone triallist in the week ahead is the Thompson-trained two-year-old BRING ME SHOWERS at Randwick on Monday.
