A trio of Steve O’Dea-trained runners at the Sunshine Coast on Friday begins the week ahead for Proven Thoroughbreds.

COOL SEQUENCE (pictured) has struck career best form this preparation with two wins and three placings in five starts and tackles the 1200m C5 Handicap.

Two-year-old filly SIENNA ROSE, placed in Saturday metropolitan company on debut, chases her first win in the 1000m Maiden Plate while BEAU DANCER also contests a 1000m maiden in open company.

At Newcastle on Saturday, John Thompson-trained pair CHOUXTORIAL and DISCREET CHARM line up in the 1400m Maiden Plate and 1400m BM72 Handicap respectively.

Then on Monday at Grafton, the O’Dea-trained RECKLESS CHOICE crosses the border in pursuit of his first win following three placings in as many starts this campaign. The son of CHOISIR rises to 1700m for the first time in his short career and will need luck after drawing the outside barrier.

There will be no trialists in the week ahead for Proven Thoroughbreds but an open morning at John Thompson’s Randwick stables is scheduled for this Sunday from 9.30am. All our current racehorses with John will be paraded as well as yearlings by TAVISTOCK, FOXWEDGE, CHARM SPIRIT & EL ROCA.

To get an early look at our yearlings check out our AVAILABLE HORSES page.
