She may be an outsider but DISCREET CHARM (pictured) will give her owners a thrill when lining up on Day 1 of The Championships at Randwick Saturday.

The beautifully bred filly has disappointed in recent starts but extends to the 2000m of the GROUP 3 ADRIAN KNOX STAKES, a distance her dad, SO YOU THINK, excelled at.

Our week kicks off Friday night with the Steve O’Dea-trained BEAU DANCER at the Sunshine Coast. Yet to strike a winning blow in 8 starts, he strikes a moderate field but unfortunately a bad gate.

On a weekend of horrid draws, promising juvenile SIENNA ROSE jumps from 9 of 10 in the opening race on Toowoomba Cup Day whilst down at Kembla CHOUXTORIAL will start from the outside alley backing up from an ordinary run Monday.

Sunday is our Joe Pride Open Morning at Warwick Farm and up north consistent little mare SETOKA carries the Proven flag at the Sunshine Coast again from a wide alley.

Then Tuesday it’s off to Moruya where John Bateman saddles either BELLA SCENICA and/or COUNTERFIRE in the C1 & Maiden of 1650m. Needless to say the former has drawn the outside of 16 and the latter 9!

Reckless Choice, just nosed out last start, heads to Ipswich Wednesday trying to buck his maiden status. A few to trial over the week, with SO SPIRITED having his second trial this prep at Warwick Farm Monday along with BRING ME SHOWERSJohn Thompson sends WATER LINE & GREENSPAN to Gosford trials Tuesday.
